Once a week you'll meet with your teacher to receive feedback on your practiced repertoire or songwriting assignments, improve mechanical and musical technique, and deepen your theoretical understanding of music. These 1-on-1 sessions are for quick and efficient improvement, where you'll get immediate correction and advice on solutions to tricky musical sections from a knowledgeable guide who's already made mistakes so that you don't have to.
Every 2~ weeks we host some kind of community-driven event: Jam Sessions, where you use your acquired skills to make music with students at your level, or studio parties, opportunities for you to just have fun playing tabletop games and interacting with your fellow studio members.
Performances are opportunities for each member of the studio to showcase their hard work and inspire each other to push further in their own studies. By nature, performances are a stressful, high-stakes event, and we try to carefully cultivate the right frame of reference so that even the most timid of students can gain the benefits: no one is there to laugh at you... they just want to hear your great music.
Students get a heavy discount on any club activities they'd like to be a part of. These weekly clubs let students connect with their friends over non-music extracurricular activities chosen to promote lateral creative thinking.
While you're a student with us, our studio is your studio. Practice rooms, recording rooms, instruments, digital audio workstations—all of these features are available for you to use, and you can see exactly when and what is available through our Room Availability Tracker on the Student Tools page.
